These currently include, in particular, physicians, dentists insofar as their services are covered by health insurance, pharmacies, chiropractors, midwives, nursing professionals, Spitex organisations, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, nutritional counselling, neuropsychology, psychological psychotherapy, podiatry, laboratories, hospitals, birth centres, nursing homes, health resorts, transport and rescue services, suppliers of medical aids and devices, as well as outpatient medical facilities.

This list is provided for explanatory purposes only and is not exhaustive. The decisive reference is the term healthcare providers used in the initiative text together with the applicable authorisations under federal law.

The Single Health Insurance SHI does not reimburse these services on the basis of arbitrary invoices, but in accordance with the rules of the initiative text through MEDIFACT. This ensures that services, documentation, cost-effectiveness and reimbursement are reviewed in a uniform, digital and transparent manner.
