The Triemli City Hospital – most hospitals are probably like this – issued the invoice below. Fact: 24.6 doctor minutes cost Fr. 532.45 = 1305 francs per hour. This caused major trouble. It went so far that Triemli reduced its invoice to the Fr. 81.45 I demanded. At the same time, I was supposed to accept a contractual penalty of
100,000 francs if I disclosed this correction. I did not sign.

On the first line (green arrow) you see the justification that an hourly fee of 200 francs complies with the tariff. (5 minutes cost Fr. 16.56, corresponding to Fr. 200 for a full hour). Looking closely: In the same invoice – for the same “session” – you also see three surcharges simply because the patient was older than 75 … once Fr. 33.13 and twice Fr. 16.56 = 66.25.(see the three red arrows below)

If I, as an office employee of Triemli City Hospital, with a salary of just over 5000 francs – for my boss on the executive floor – had to write such invoices … I would always think of my unfairly high health insurance premium
of 505 francs. I could no longer do this work.

Does this not also raise the question of these people’s accountability?
